Becky Ryan

Director of the Child Development Center

Becky Ryan is the Director of The University of Texas at Austin Child Development Center (UTCDC), and oversees three early childhood programs that serve 575 children from infancy to age five. With more than 20 years of experience in early childhood education, she brings deep expertise in classroom practice, family engagement, and program leadership. Becky has led efforts to expand childcare access, streamline enrollment, and enhance professional development for educators. She also teaches at Austin Community College and partners with state and local organizations to support the early childhood workforce. Becky holds an M.A. in Early Childhood Education Curriculum and Instruction from Mills College and dual bachelor’s degrees in Psychology and Human Development from the University of California, Davis.
